Olsson's Custom Cabinets in Deer River, Minnesota was founded in 2023 by Eli Olsson. Eli's journey began in a cabinet shop in Brainerd, MN. Having been passionate about woodworking from a young age, he started taking on side projects in 2020. This eventually led him to pursue his own business full-time.
We provide custom cabinet solutions to provide customers with their dream kitchen, bathroom, entertainment centers and much more.

Our process begins with a consultation with the client. We discuss their needs, preferences, and budget. We discuss and plan to take measurements, materials to be used and finishes the customer wants. We then review the designs and adjust them based on client feedback until final approval is received.
Cabinets are then built and assembled using various joinery techniques. This ensures strength and durability. Before assembling the cabinets we sand to a smooth finish, and prepare them for staining or painting. After cabinets are finished we then assemble components like drawers, doors, and shelves and attached to the cabinet framework. Hardware such as hinges, handles, and slides are installed.
Cabinets are finished in a controlled environment to ensure even application and drying. Each cabinet undergoes a thorough inspection to ensure it meets the shop’s quality standards. Any necessary adjustments or corrections are made. Finished cabinets are carefully packaged to protect them during transportation.
Cabinets are delivered to the customer and installed according to the design plans, ensuring they fit perfectly and function as intended. This includes aligning doors, adjusting drawers, and securing units to walls.
